I was a guest at a wedding in Chicago, and I couldn’t stop watching the photographer.
I saw him capture the fleeting moments of emotions. Nobody else noticed. I haven’t stopped thinking about it.
That night I knew. Years of trading currencies gave way to being the one standing there when a father sees his daughter, when a grandmother laughs.
Now I shoot South Asian weddings around the world. Off the clock: coffee, long walks by the water, Flashes of Hope (non-profit).
